Este lunes 8 de mayo se registró otra fuerte represión por parte de la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana (GNB) y la Policía Nacional Bolivariana (PNB), en contra de la movilización opositora realizada en la ciudad de Caracas, contabilizándose más de 100 personas heridas, de acuerdo al balance presentado por la MUD durante rueda de prensa.

“Lo único que sostiene a Nicolás Maduro es la violencia y una Fuerza Armada que no está del lado del pueblo”, reclamó la diputada Marialbert Barrios, al tiempo que señaló que hubo alrededor de 116 heridos atendidos por los servicios de Salud Chacao y Salud Baruta, respectivamente.

Asimismo, detalló que en los estados Anzoátegui y Carabobo las marchas de la MUD sí pudieron llegar a sus destinos, pero sostuvo que en la mayoría del interior del país, al igual que en Caracas, hubo represión. 

Por otro lado, el alcalde del municipio Chacao, Ramón Muchacho, informó que 60 personas debieron ser atendidas en Salud Chacao. A través de su cuenta de Twitter, el dirigente opositor detalló las asistencias que recibieron los heridos.

“40 por traumatismo, 18 por asfixia, 1 por perdigón y 1 por hipertensión”,apuntó.

Vale destacar que los opositores en Caracas, intentaron movilizarse este lunes hacia el Ministerio de Educación para entregar a Elías Jaua la respuesta de la Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD) luego de la convocatoria del chavismo para llevar a cabo una reunión para delinear la Asamblea Constituyente que propone Maduro.
