Cosmonauta ruso comparte desde el espacio espectacular foto del Lago de Maracaibo

Sergey Ryazanskiy, cosmonauta ruso, compartió en su cuenta de Instagram una foto increíble del Lago de Maracaibo tomada desde la Estación Espacial Internacional y además aprovechó la oportunidad para compartir un relato sobre el Relámpago del Catatumbo.

“El Lago de Maracaibo en Venezuela puede llamarse geográficamente el Golfo, porque está conectado por un estrecho al golfo de Venezuela. El lago de agua dulce alimenta muchos arroyos y ríos, el más grande de ellos es Catatumbo. En la confluencia de este río en el lago al menos durante 160-190 días al año, se puede observar un fenómeno natural único: El relámpago del Catatumbo: rayos que ocurren durante un largo período de tiempo, ¡y los rayos pueden alcanzar los 5 km! Dicen que en 1595 los barcos bajo el mando de Francis Drake intentaron llevar a cabo un ataque nocturno en la ciudad de Maracaibo, pero gracias a la iluminación de los rayos, el vigilante nocturno notó las siluetas de los barcos y el ataque prematuro fue interrumpido”, publicó Ryazanskiy en Instagram.
